Et maintenant, 2eme resolution je vais poster en anglais...
So, on thursday, the 10th of November, we left Chritschurch to go to Abel Tasman National Park. We were 5 (Val, Cedric, Mike and Mirentxu), completly squeezed in the car and we arrive (completly destroyed) in Motueka around 1 o'clock. The day after, we woke up at 7am to go for a 2 days kak trip and 1 day to walk back. At Kaiteriteri (departure of the trip), we met Kekile, Alvaro and Agnes, Simon and Juan. Here is the map of the trip ma did:
The first with Eric the guide was nice. we stop on a beach to have lunch... it was the best place where we have ever been to have lunch: an awesome beach with almost nobody on it. The sun was shining and we were burning!!
Then we left this first beach to go to the place where we spent the first night (in tent). We were 10 (our group) + 1couple lol I think this poor couple wanted to be alone on a paradisiac beach to spend a lovely night... But unfortunately for them, we were there hahaha The day after, we woke up at 6am (we went to bed the night before at 10pm ;-) ) because Eric told us that to pass the cliffs we had to wake up before 8am otherwise, the wind and the waves would have made the place too dangerous. The weather was a bit cloudy, but not windy. We passed the cliffs before 10am (so everything was perfect (until here everything is right... "La Haine" en anglais lol) But after a while, around 11am, on heavy rain and a strong wind started to transform the trip in an Odyssea. We riched Bark Bay after 30min under this bad weather. Fortunatly there was a shelter where we could wait and warm ourself. 2h after this storm, the sky was blue!!! So with 5 other members of the group, we took again the kayaks and we went to the seals colony while the other pitched our tents. We went back to the campsite after 1h30 to walk a bit around the place. We spent a night around a fire and we went to bed (again) around 10pm. On sunday, we woke up around 7am, ready to go to Marahau to take the bus back to Kaiteriteri. This walk was very nice... but very exhaustive!! we nearly ran at the endof the track to be sure to catch the bus. We arrived on time everything was good. We left Agnes, Alvaro, Kekile, Simon and Juan at Kaiteriteri. While they went back to Christchurch, we continued a bit upnorth to go until Takaka. After a really good pizza, we stayed 2h in the spa (jacuzzi), relaxing and chatting. We were happy to relax after this tiring trip! On Monday, we went to the PuPu springs (the clearest fresh water in the world), quite nice, and the we stopped in the Harwood's hole (after a really dodgy road!!) which was gorgeous!!
We were in Christchurch at 9pm with some sandfly's bit and some sunburns but ready for the departure party of Juan.
Note about Juan : he said to everybody he would leave on wednesday... we received a text on Monday to tel us that he learnt he left on tuesday (the Ilam office told him : "you left tomorrow... not on wednesday!") Then on tuesday at the airport, he forgot his plane ticket so he had to go back to the residence to take the ticket... then when he went to the check in... he had 23kg overweight!!! but not enough time to repack everything... Everybody say good luck to Doctor Juan Manuel Mauricio! (yes because he has just finished his PhD... oh my god!)
